Privacy Policy

  • What we collect. Your name, email and billing details at checkout. Stripe collects your card details, billing address, IP address and device information to process the payment and prevent fraud, under Stripe's privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). We get your name, email, what you bought, the amount, and partial card details (brand, last 4 digits), never the full number. Order details: your intake answers. Please don't include your customers' or employees' personal data in what you send us.
  • Email delivery. We send your download link, receipt and order emails through Zoho Mail. We send marketing email only if you opt in, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails, like occasional tips and offers, if you ticked the box that asks for them on one of our forms. Leaving it unticked won't change how we answer your inquiry.

When you opt in, we keep a record of your email address, the date, the form you used and the wording you agreed to. That record is kept in HubSpot, the tool we use to manage contacts and send email.

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@datumoperations.com and ask us to stop. Once you unsubscribe, we stop sending you marketing emails, but you'll still get messages about anything you've bought or asked us about, such as receipts and billing notices.

We don't sell or rent our email list. Your email opt-in doesn't cover texts. Texts need their own opt-in, below.

Text messages

Datum Operations LLC sends texts only when you ask for them. That means when you tick a texting box on one of our forms (including the "Text me the answer" box in our website chat), when you text us first and we reply, or when you call us and ask for a link by text. Our form choices are separate: answers to your question, occasional tips and offers, and appointment reminders and project updates. You can pick any, all or none. Texting is never required to work with us or buy from us. How we use it. To answer your question or send the texts you asked for, to keep a record that you agreed, and to honor opt-outs. Some answers are written by our AI assistant, so the content of your texts is processed by our texting provider and our AI and automation service providers only to reply to you. A person from Datum reviews conversations and follows up when needed. We keep this in HubSpot, the tool we use to manage contacts. We don't sell or share your mobile number, SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

What we collect. Your mobile number, which texting choices you made, the date and time, the form you used and the wording you agreed to. We also keep a record of messages we send you and replies you send, including HELP and STOP.

Opting out. Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts from us. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@datumoperations.com. After you opt out we'll send one message confirming it, and then nothing more unless you opt in again.

How long we keep it. We keep your opt-in and opt-out record while you're subscribed and for 5 years after your last text from us or your opt-out, whichever is later, so we can show you agreed or asked us to stop.

AI and automation vendors. When we do work in your systems, or draft replies and documents for you, we may use AI and automation service providers to process the information needed for that task. We use business terms that don't allow them to train their models on it, or we turn training off where that's offered. We don't sell this information.

  • Analytics. Our website runs on HubSpot, which sets cookies to count visits and see which pages are read. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We don't sell your personal information.
  • How long we keep it. We delete your intake answers and any files you email us within 90 days after we deliver your order. We keep order and tax records (your name, email, what you bought and what you paid) for 7 years.
  • Security. We use reasonable safeguards for a business our size, as New York's SHIELD Act requires (GBL §899-bb), and we'll notify you of a breach as required by GBL §899-aa.
  • Your choices. Email hello@datumoperations.com to see, correct or delete your data, except records we're required to keep by law. We'll reply within 30 days.
  • Children. The shop is for businesses and adults, not children under 13.
